When you’re a leader, should your position be known by your title or a degree or by the character you possess and show through the course of action you take and the way you handle people along the way?
I don’t need to say much about abused position. It is not uncommon. We have all experienced it in one way or another. It is easy to see the “sins” of others and point the finger. But we have all been the abusive leader- unaware of how our position and actions are negatively affecting someone else. This is hardest to see as we relate to those who are closest to us.
There is a leader in each one of us, even if and when we are unaware. The condition of a household, a family, an organization, a city, a state, a country and the world is based on every decision you and I make. If we are unhappy with any of these portions of our lives we must start with “the [person] in the mirror” and ask them to change their ways.
The voice of a leader is hugely impressionable, humble yet confident, intuitively wise, balanced in judgment. The choices of a leader consider the health and well-being of everyone in the group. Success to a leader is related to leaving no one behind. The leader is a servant in action and attitude. The leader knows how to make a platform for others rather than using others to make a platform for his or her self. A leader does not trade lives but will offer his or her own.
